What would American Horror Story be without Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange and Evan Peters? Luckily for fans all three actors have signed on for the FX series' upcoming third season, according to Vulture.com.
In addition to the return of the three AHS vets, series creator Ryan Murphy revealed the next season will be set in the present day, with a storyline spread over several cities. The next installment will also have a "funnier" tone than the current edition Asylum. The third season will focus on "female power," and the mysterious central figure (comparable to past characters Rubber Man and Bloody Face) will also be a woman.
Fans of the series can look forward to Lange playing a more comical and glamorous character, closer to her Emmy-winning role of Constance in season one. Murphy says that Lange will be decked out in “hair, makeup and the best designer gowns ever made.”
No word yet if Tony nominee Lily Rabe (who has appeared in seasons one and two) will return as well. Theatergoers can catch Paulson when she returns to the stage in off-Broadway's Talley's Folly on February 8.
